New Years Eve

We have a tradition of taking Tate to a hotel on New Years Eve. This year he was lucky and the hotel was in Costa Rica. :)

New Years Eve was our second day in CR. We (Chris, Tate and I and Brook & Cara) spent part of the day in Coco Beach. We had some beers and did some shopping. That night we just hung out at the hotel.

Tate was so excited to get a coconut. We got him his first one....and he hated it! Granted, these were warm....and they are so much better chilled.

Tate had hardly eaten a thing since we landed in Costa Rica. We found a cute little place in Coco Beach were they served pizza. Just what a kid loves.

Again, this one is for my sister. :)

Tate LOVED this tree at the hotel. He wanted me to take his picture with it. I then asked him where else he would like me to take his picture. These are the places he picked :)

Of course, we had dinner at Father Roosters.

Then back to the hotel to ring in the New Year. Notice Chris's rum.....he asked at the grocery store for the local rum.....someone suggested this brand. As we are sitting, drinking, we realize that this is imported rum, from Nicaragua, not local Costa Rican rum.
